We are thrilled to announce a new addition to our mishpachah (family). Joining our goats, chickens, ducks, and pigs will be two beautiful puppies from Paws Crossed Animal Shelter in Elmsford, NY, that we will be fostering this kayitz (summer).

During the first few days of Camp, we will have a special ceremony to name the dogs. Names will be chosen by the campers…and by the puppies themselves!

Not only will our pups enhance our current animal care program, they will also be wonderful support companions for our Breira/Tivkah campers and anyone who could use some puppy love.

The pups will spend their days outside running around with the other farm animals and playing with your children. They will have an outdoor doghouse for the daytime as well as an indoor facility to sleep in at night.

While we already have homes for our other animals, we need to make sure the puppies have families that will adopt them at the end of the kayitz.

To make this happen, we will hold a raffle to be sent to parents. Once the winners are picked, they will be put in touch with Paws Crossed to instruct them in caring for the puppies and make sure that the dogs are a good fit for their families.

When the puppies arrive in the next two weeks, we will provide you with more information about them and the raffle.

Until then, enjoy those beautiful punim!
