Dear Ramah Berkshires family,

We are very excited to announce Rabbi Eytan Kenter as our new Camp Director. Eytan will join us in early June and will work with Interim Director, Susie Charendoff, and the professional leadership team into the summer to deliver a great camp program.

As the Ramah Berkshires community will soon see, Eytan brings an unending commitment to camper well-being, Jewish life and programming, community engagement and inclusion, and staff development. We are thrilled to have found a leader who shares so many of our core values.

About Eytan:

Eytan's connections to Ramah run deep. He was a Shorashim camper at Ramah Berkshires, and later spent summers working at Ramah camps in Nyack, Poconos, Darom, and Canada. His Hebrew translations of Wicked and High School Musical are still being used at camps across North America.

He has a Masters degree from the William Davidson School of Jewish Education and achieved rabbinic ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary. Eytan's career includes Rabbi and Chief Learning Officer at Congregation B’nai Torah in Atlanta, GA and Senior Rabbi of Kehillat Beth Israel Congregation in Ottawa, Ontario Canada.

In his spare time, Eytan enjoys cooking and playing tennis and basketball. He is a pop culture buff and prides himself on the ability to have a conversation with almost anybody on almost any topic. He is married to Staci Zemlak-Kenter and is the proud Abba (dad) of future campers, Boaz and Reuvi.

What we've heard about Eytan:

"When I worked with Eytan, he was leading the charge in innovative and meaningful Jewish education and he built strong connections at every stage of the process. He's not afraid to step up, and his boundless energy will serve him well in the role at Ramah."

Keep an eye out for information regarding virtual meet and greets after Passover.

We look forward to an exciting future for Ramah Berkshires with our new Director, Eytan!

L'Shalom,
Atara Jacobson
President
